Beaches of Torredembarra

The beach at Torredembarra is one of the biggest attractions in the town. With its beautiful fine golden sand and wonderful Mediterranean climate, the beach offers visitors the chance to enjoy the sea, the natural surroundings and family recreational activities all year round. The beaches are awarded the Blue Flag quality distinction every year.

  • La Paella: This beach is located in Els Munts and it hosts the marina. It also has an area devoted to the sports practice on the beach. Some areas have a wideness of 90 metres and it has approximately 1 km long. The promenade is located on this beach. There is also El Roquer –a cliff area of about 2,000 meters long and a maximum hight of 25 meters that goes from La Paella to Cala Canyadell.

  • Playa del Baix a Mar: The Baix a Mar Beach is the smallest and it is located in the old fishermen quarter. It expands from the maritime club to Narcís Monturiol square. It is 700 m long. It also has a sports area with beach tennis. There is a nursery service and a beach library. At the end of the beach you will find Cal Bofill, an environmental centre.

  • Playa Els Muntanyans: This is a remarkable spot, of tremendous environmental importance, where you can find the last two kilometers of dunes and marshes before the Delta de l´Ebre. It’s a great place to visit all year round, where you can swim, sunbathe, relax, go hiking and observe the flora and fauna that inhabit this area, at all times respecting the environment, naturally!

  • Playa del Canyadell El Canyadell beach is surrounded by the Torredembarra cliffs, providing a spectacular landscape that combines exposed rock with typical Mediterranean plants. This area is also home to the last lighthouse built in all of Spain and is known for its tranquility and natural beach.
